Reflecting on the week with joy; come good, bad, or indifferent . . .

Loving that Thanksgiving is on the horizon in our home.

Deliciously Pinteresting Gluten-Free Pumpkin Spice Cookies with Maple Icing!
During this season of Thanksgiving I have the hope of grasping, observing and cherishing every small moment of blessing.  This year has been racing by, and I am in desperate need of a break for reflecting, pondering and giving thanks.

Of course, just to make it a bit more fun and slightly more challenging, our family celebration of Thanksgiving will run straight into the first celebration evening of Hanukkah.  Which, of course, puts me in full thanksgiving and gift giving mode simultaneously . . . fun stuff!

Here are a few pics and thoughts from the week past:

What I'm reading this week . . .

Favorite quote from my favorite president.  I have really been enjoying covering the Revolution in my junior high History class at co-op.
What we are Reading-A-Loud . . .
We are returning to our family read-a-loud in the evenings.  This is an essential part of our evening family life that we have all been missing.  We just started The Legend of Sleepy Hollow & Rip Van Winkle by: Washington Irving

What the kids are reading this week . . .
The Squeaker: Johnny Tremain, anothe silly "Warriors" book, & The Swiss Family Robinson

Working on taking a little "mommy time".
Mom Projects I Tackled . . .
  • Finishing touches on gifts for kids . . . pictures coming soon!  I found some great items to make on Pinterest, good deals at VisionForum.com, with a couple of electronic toys from Big Lots.
  • One Bite at a Time: I achieved absolutely nothing on my Project 56 list :(

Here are the posts I enjoyed this week . . .
