Seining on the Paluxy last week, in between mommy's bouts of bronchitis.
“It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.”
Henry David Thoreau

This week began the second week of our Fall term for the homeschool year. Coincidentally, it also marked the second week of bronchitis for mom. Yep, slow and steady seems to be the practical virtues needing practiced in our home.  These virtues, that you may have already deduced, I still have much need of practice.

Even with the minor setback of bronchitis and mounting duties that I am falling behind on, this week has served much use in the area of contemplating, reevaluating and prayer.

I have been trying to, most unsuccessfully, get caught up with Swap Packages.
What I'm reading this week . . .
What we are Reading-A-Loud . . .
During Reading Tea Time: Oliver Twist
Evening Family Reading: just finished The Invention of Hugo Cabret, and now we are starting Out of the Silent Planet

Mom & Scout: The Book of Three
Mom & Bug: Beautiful Girlhood

What the kids are reading for extra-curricular time?

Nothing like some surprise "happy mail".  I got a huge care package from my friend in New Jersey, and her two young sisters helped out.  Heather "Mac-n-Cheese" is their name for me.  Kids just get me!
Projects Mom Tackled ...
  • Completed and published more than 1 blog post. Score!  God is recasting some vision for me writing wise, so consistency is key for me.  A little bit at a time will get the job done.
  • Wrapped up a good chunk of writing for two of my soon-to-be-published  book projects!
  • Completed recording for an upcoming iHomeschool project.  Updated my head-shot & finished a lovely little handout for this same project.
