Mac RAK: Recipes For FUN!

Recipes for FUN today!

I feel inspired by the sunny weather to venture outdoors and embrace the coming of Spring . . . with my jacket on, of course. Here a couple of fun "recipes" for crafting with your kids this afternoon and enjoying the backyard jungle!

HOMEMADE BUBBLES:
(Not Edible)
1 cup water
1/3 cup dish soap (Joy, Sunlight, etc.)
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
Combine above ingredients and enjoy the bubbling! If you don't have any available bubble wands, try using items you have around the house. Challenge your children to think creatively and find items in your utensil draw or from their toy box. Apple corer, potato masher, handle of basting brush, cookie cutters maybe. . . turn it into a scavenger hunt.

SLIME TIME:
Cornstarch
Water
Food Coloring (optional, but, the most fun of course!)
Put cornstarch in bowl. Add just enough water to make a paste. If desired, you may also add food coloring. Depending on what planet your slime is from, will most likely determine the color. LOL. This slime goes from liquid to solid and is great fun to play with outdoors. Read the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss & enjoy your goo!
