Fruit Salad, Yes . . . A Little Late in the Season

I know that the season for fantastic fruit salad is fading quickly.  It's the fruit salad that I will miss . . . NOT the summer season!  Yuck.  Look, I live in Texas, if you don't live in Texas, YOU HAVE NO IDEA.  Don't judge.

Summer is gone (Woot-Woot) and I want you to learn my fantastic secret to the most wonderful, everyone-will-rave-about, fruit salad.

Ingredients:
  • IN SEASON FRUIT
The last batch I made had grapes, apples, strawberries, nectarines, and bananas
  • Walnuts (optional) and Coconut (optional)
  • Orange (Juice is used to squeeze on top before tossing)
  • And the secret ingredient . . .

Did you spot it in the picture?  Yep, just your run-of-the-mill Vanilla Honey{insert your favorite flavor here} Greek Yogurt.

That's it!
  • Chop your fruit anyway that floats your boat.
  • Squeeze orange juice over the top.
  • Mix in 1 - 1 1/2 cups of Greek yogurt
  • Add a bit of coconut and walnuts, just if you want to feel fancy about your fruit salad. :)
  • Chill. . . not you, the salad.  Enjoy.
So "au revoir" to Summer and "bonjour" happy times of the Fall!
What Fall food favorites are you most looking forward to?

ME . . . PUMPKIN!  All things pumpkin, please!
